Winston's Westminster

This is a half day tour around Westminster, the political heart of London. We'll see a number of locations that featured significantly in the life of Winston Churchill, one of this country's greatest Prime Ministers, and we'll hear the stories and controversies behind them. We'll see the Houses of Parliament and 10 Downing Street, the official home of this country's Prime Minister. We'll stroll along Whitehall where we'll see the Old War Office and also the Cenotaph which is the site of the National Service of Remembrance that takes place every November. We'll spend a couple of hours inside the Churchill War Rooms, where history was made and from where operations were planned that would take this country from near defeat to victory. We'll also see where Churchill liked to eat and drink, where he purchased his favourite cigars, and the hotel where "Churchill's Secret Army" was set up. There will even be an opportunity for a great photo of you sitting between Winston Churchill and Franklin D Roosevelt.
