London is a living, breathing monument to Rock ‘n’ Roll and during this tour I’ll take you on an exhilarating journey through the heart of the city that gave birth to some of the most influential musicians in history. I’ll show you the famous jazz club where iconic artists such as Chet Baker and Ella Fitzgerald once performed. You’ll stroll down a street that was one of the most fashionable streets in London during the swinging sixties, where the likes of The Who used to do their shopping. You’ll visit hallowed grounds that were launchpads for countless rock legends. You’ll hear fascinating stories of wild nights, groundbreaking performances, and the cultural impact that these musical icons left on the world. You’ll hear the stories behind iconic music venues, and gain insight into how the city influenced the world’s music scene during the 1900s. The tour ends at the place where John Lennon first set eyes on a little-known performance artist named Yoko Ono.
Start at Centre Point Tottenham Court Road Square Plaza We will then explore the famous Denmark Street, otherwise known as Tin Pan Alley which started as the home of the music publishing history and subsequently rose to prominence as the heart of the British music scene. Moving through Soho we'll see venues where some of the world's most famous musical artists first appeared on stage. We'll also see the recording studios where iconic singles and albums were recorded and hear the stories of the people behind them. Heading into Mayfair we will see the clubs where the most famous British musicians and their hangers on used to party from one night to the next and hear the stories and scandals behind these wild nights. Finally we'll see the building where the Beatles played their final live concert and also a gallery where John Lennon first set eyes on Yoko Ono where this tour ends.
