London's Historic Pubs : A Personalised Walking Tour

This walking tour takes in some of London's most historic public houses. You will stories of places where some of our greatest writers, politicians and philosophers came to seek out conversation, some food and of course a good drink. You will visit one of the original Gin Palaces which housed five old prison cells where death row criminals would drink "one for the road" before being marched off to the gallows. You can see the pub where George IV enjoyed a bit of gambling, another establishment where Lenin and Stalin allegedly had a fist fight and visit the pub which is the hardest place to find in London where Queen Elizabeth I danced around a cherry tree with a potential suitor. We can also visit one of London's oldest pubs that was rebuilt after the Great Fire of London where Mark Twain, Charles Dickens and Samuel Johnson frequented. The tour will be customised of course and can take in many of the famous sites around London en route.
