Glasgow is my home town and the home of some of Scotland's best cultural attractions and best of all, many of them are free to enter! As a child my father would regularly take me around the most famous sights in Glasgow, it didn't matter if it was good weather or bad, we just spent more time inside some of the fantastic building if the weather was poor. Alternatively if the weather was good, I got the opportunity to appreciate the amazing outdoor attractions. We can tailor this tour to meet your specific requirements, either quick sightseeing tour encompassing most of Glasgow's major attractions or alternatively we can select a few stops relative to your particular interests and spend some time appreciating the beautiful buildings and historical culture of Glasgow. The tour would commence from your city centre hotel, a pre agreed location, or from The Greenock Cruise Terminal in an extremely comfortable Mercedes Benz People Carrier, with elevated seats providing unrestricted views along the tour route.
• The first stop Finnieston in the Westend to view the famous Finnieston Crane and the 2021 COP26 venue. • The Clydeside Distillery, pop in for a look and a quick "dram". • Riverside Museum, which reflects the important part Glasgow has played in the world through its contributions to heavy industries like shipbuilding, train manufacturing and engineering. Free entry. • Kelvin Grove Art Gallery, explore 22 galleries and discover everything from art to animals, Ancient Egypt to Charles Rennie Mackintosh. • Glasgow University. You'll be walking in the footsteps of some of the world's most renowned visionaries, from economist Adam Smith to the pioneer of television John Logie Baird. •Glasgow Cathedral, an awe-inspiring building dedicated St Mungo, it was built in the 1100s •The Merchant City, boutiques and stylish cafes fill former merchant warehouses. A great location to conclude your tour in some of the pubs and cafe's frequented by the locals.
