This is an unforgettable journey through a major museum guided by Loona who has nearly two decades of experience of museum tour guiding and object-based storytelling. He will bring this incredible collection to life covering 4.6 billion years of history, showcasing highlights like the iconic blue whale skeleton, dinosaurs, Sophie the Stegosaurus (the most complete Stegosaurus fossil ever found), and our newest resident, Fern the Diplodocus. Explore the labyrinth of galleries housing the extinct dodo and the rare Archaeopteryx—a fascinating link between dinosaurs and birds—to the spirit collection, featuring 23 million preserved specimens like a common octopus and a giant toad. Stand in awe before the Cursed Amethyst, a Giant Sequoia tree slice, and the first T. Rex skeleton ever discovered. From endangered species to conservation stories, every corner holds secrets waiting to be discovered. This tour promises an inspiring and educational adventure.
We'll explore the must-see highlights at one of the world’s greatest museums. Start under the iconic blue whale skeleton, say hi to Guy the Gorilla, wave to Fern the Diplodocus, and meet Sophie the Stegosaurus, the most complete Stegosaurus fossil ever found. We visit early humans, and then journey through wonders like the extinct dodo, the rare Archaeopteryx, rocks from the moon, the dazzling cursed Amethyst and the giant slice of a Sequoia tree. We'll see parts of the spirit collection housing 23 million preserved specimens (including an octopus and a giant toad), the Birds Gallery, showcasing hummingbirds and Victorian avian anatomy, or marvel at the Fossil Marine Reptiles Gallery, home to some of the world’s most complete sea creature fossils. And the building? It’s a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture, with every detail honoring nature like terracotta animals and a monkey said to resemble Charles Darwin.
