St. Andrews and The Kingdom of Fife Full-Day Shore Excursion

We start the day by picking you up at your hotel and making the short drive South Queensferry to view the 3 bridges that span the spectacular Firth of Forth. From here it's a short drive to Blackness Castle. Known as the ship that never sailed, this castle has seen off attacks from the likes of Henry the 8th, and was still in active use as a military fort right up to the second world war. Once we have explored the castle we will travel to Dunfermline abbey, burial site of the Robert The Bruce, Scotland's most famous King. After exploring the Abbey, we will travel to the spectacular town of St Andrews. Whether you are interested in Golf, historic Cathedrals, ancient Universities, St Andrews has it all and you will be given time to explore this historic gem. We will also make time here for lunch. Next, we will drive to the beautiful town of Falkland, home of Falkland Palace, the playground for the Stuart Kings and Queens. Falkland was also used as a filming location for Outlander. Return drive to hotel.
