The itinerary can be tailored to you requirements, My expectation of the Highlights and stop overs would be; 1 from Edinburgh to Able via the Northumberland castles route taking in the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, and the oldest continuously inhabited castle in England, Bamburgh 2. Through Durham (the loveliest city in England) and across the North Yorkshire moors, to Whiby for the worlds best fish and chips, ending in Helmsley (the loveliest town in England) 3 through York and on to Beverley both places with their amazing gothic architecture "minsters" 4 the third of the gothic masterpieces, Lincoln cathedral (& the castle), then on via the family home of Sir Isaac Newton to Warwick & Kenilworth. overnight close to the castle. 5 through the cotswolds and Bath, overnight Bruton 6 a choice of circular tours: perhaps Wells (with the worlds most photogenic street) , Glastonbury (burial place of King Arthur & perhaps the Holy Grail?) & Stourhead Day 7 Avebury and Stonehenge, ending at Winsor or Oxford?
