Discover the enchanting beauty of Dorset and the magical Isle of Purbeck with its rich, ancient history on this walking tour from the iconic Corfe Castle to the Victorian seaside town of Swanage. We'll begin in the historic village of Corfe, where the castle's impressive ruins rise majestically against the skyline. Explore the remains of this fairytale stone fortress dating back to the c11th steeped in English history. The royal palace and Norman stronghold, echoing with the footsteps of knights and kings. Amble through the little village of Corfe, perhaps stopping at the tearooms or centuries old pub and then see the beautifully restored heritage railway line and station. We begin the walk by ascending the ridge along the Purbeck Hills and are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views. Gaze down upon Corfe Castle, across Poole Harbour, and towards the glistening waters of Swanage Bay. We arrive in the picturesque seaside town of Swanage, a jewel of the Dorset coast.
2. 5 Hours Exploration of Corfe, the village and the Castle 3hr walk along the Purbeck Hill and down into Swanage 90 minutes stroll around Swanage Transport can easily arrange back to Corfe if that is where you've left you're vehicle. There is however another option which is to take the steam train back.

This is a walking tour. You would need to get transport to Corfe Castle - this can easily be arranged if you don't have your own vehicle and perhaps you're coming by train to Wareham. Coming back from Swanage, again transport can easily be organised. Swanage to Corfe is 15 minutes There is also the option to take the steam train back from Swanage
Airport: ,Cruise: ,ByGuide: National Trust Corfe Car Parking Welcome Centre. If coming to the area by public transport, the mainline train station is in Wareham about 5 miles away. Taxi would be around £15 or we can come some other arrangements. We can discuss this later if you need help arranging transport.
