On this tour, you'll not only discover some of these venues, but you'll learn about Belfast food history from the baker who saved countless lives with a simple food product to the rise and fall (and current revival) of Belfast whiskey. Also you'll hear about about how partition of Ireland affected Ireland's favourite potato crisps and Turkish delight and a famous Belfast writer. You'll sample from a range of local produce which could include local oysters, Belfast whiskey and Irish coffee, local cheeses, organic smoked salmon, patisserie inspired by traditional Belfast treats and a gourmet take on traditional suppers.
