Like most cities, Belfast is more than the sum of its parts and has diverse areas, each with its own character. This tour goes from the city centre and sweeps North, South, East and West. On it, we will take in all of Belfast's iconic sights such as City Hall, Albert Clock and Titanic Docks but also, winds our way up the mountains North of Belfast Lough to Belfast Castle, where you will get a spectacular view of the city. In addition, we'll also cover Queens University and the leafy suburbs of the South, the Peace Wall and Murals of West Belfast. We'll also visit Northern Ireland's Parliament Buildings Stormont, or "The House on the Hill" as some locals call it, from where you'll get another spectacular view and see the rolling hills of County Down that inspired CS Lewis to write about the lands of Narnia. This approximately three hour tour uses private transportation, and there are plenty of stops for fresh air and photos.
·After picking you up from your location, we'll first take in the Albert Memorial Clock. ·What follows will be the City Hall and the Titanic Memorial, a statue raised to pay homage to the local men perished. ·We'll then pass by Queen's University, designed by Belfast's most famous architect Sir Charles Lanyon. ·Next, we'll see the Botanic Gardens and the classical structure of the Ulster Museum. ·Afterwards, we'll see the oriental style Grand Opera House, a 19th century building. ·We'll continue West onto the Falls Road and Shankill Road, to hear about Belfast's troubled past and see the Peace Wall and Murals. ·We'll then pass by the Crumlin Road Gaol, which worked as a prison until 1996. ·Then it's on to Belfast Castle, which overlooks the city. ·At last, we'll pass by the Parliament Buildings at Stormont, before returning to the pick-up point.
