This will be an archeological tour in Ephesus city including terrace houses where the wealthiest Romans lived with their servants. We will spend about 3 hours in Ephesus ancient city in total. Just imagine yourself as a trader and walking through Ephesus streets in Roman times. Short drive to the farms for lunch. There will be a set menu lunch of grilled meatballs and chicken with appetizers and salad. Tasting very good local wines during lunch. If local wine doesn't charm that much, you may try most famous Ephesus beer instead. You'll have a chance to meet Turkish locals during lunch who are working on the handicrafts looms. Chat with them and learn their everyday life and their artistic pieces here. Then we will drive back to the port of Kusadasi.
- Meeting at the port of Kusadasi, driving to Ephesus. (20 min.) - Walk downhill from upper gate (Magnesia) to lower gate (the harbor). - See city council house, the baths, monumental fountains, the Kuretes Street, the latrines, the commercial forum, Celcus Library, grand theatre of an arena. - Discovering terrace houses. -Having traditional Turkish lunch at the farms. -Driving back to Kusadasi port then tour ends.
