Mini Group-Antalya Old Town (Kaleici) and Archeology Museum - Half-day Shore Excursion

Antalya is a modern city of 2 million 750 thousand people on the southern coast of Turkey. It was founded in the 2nd century B. C by the Pergamon ruler Attalos the second. That's why the city witnessed the Roman, Byzantium, and Ottoman periods as well. Antalya's Old Town (Kaleici), where I spent my childhood, remains as the heart of this modern Turkish city. Home to a number of historic monuments, it's also the city's most atmospheric district—a maze of narrow winding streets dotted with traditional wooden houses from Ottoman period, bars, restaurants, and Ottoman-style boutique hotels. We start our exploration in Kaleici, taking in the sights on foot. Our tour will include historic highlights such as Hadrian's Gate, the 18th-century Tekeli Mehmet Paşa mosque, the Selçuk-era Fluted Minaret, and the old Clock Tower. And of course, to end, we pay a visit to the archeology museum of Antalya full of magnificent sculptures from ancient Greek and Roman towns, especially from Perge. Let's explore together!
