The name Zanzibar refer to the archipelago of island in the Indian ocean, off the cost of mainland commonly called Zanzibar and pemba and other small islands. After ousting the Portuguese, Oman Arabs ruled over Zanzibar but their influence wasn't really felt until 1804 when sayyid said bin sultan arrived from Oman and fell in love with this lush tropical island. Stone town, also known as Mji mkongwe, is the old part of Zanzibar City, the main city of Zanzibar, in Tanzania. The newer portion of the city is known as Ng'ambo, Swahili for 'the other side'. Stone Town is located on the western coast of Unguja, the main island of the Zanzibar Archipelago.
This is walking tour for both tours around stone town and around the farm. In stone town tour you will get a time to see . - The former slave market - Darajani Market (local market) - House of wonder - Old fort build by Portuguese - palace museum - Freddy mercury house And narrow streets with architectures in stone town. Later the transport will be ready to Spice farm for walking around the farm to learn different things about Spices and the importance of spices in our daily life. After tour we will get a good time to test a local food . Then back to hotel.
