Already during the 1-hour train ride from Lucerne to Engelberg, you will admire the beautiful panorama of the mountains and the traditional wooden chalet houses. A popular resort for skiers and hikers in the past was only a small village built near the walls of the monastery established in the 12th century. If you wish, we can view the main buildings of the complex from the outside and the main church. We will definitely visit a small cheese production, where we can watch how the craftsmen work, and I will tell you about the unusual shape of one of the cheeses. Now it's time to go to the mountains! Even if you have already visited the alpine peaks, a trip to Titlis is an unforgettable experience. The world's only rotating gondola, an ice grotto with sculptures. We will also walk through the eternal snow, admire the majestic panorama of the Alps and listen to the wind singing in the steel ropes of the of the famous 100-meter-long TITLIS Cliff Walk suspension bridge.

I live close by the Interlaken area so I have spent time at the famous Jungfraujoch which changed a lot the past years!

Did you know that in the early days when the Jungfraujoch station was built they used sleddogs to transport all the material to build the top?

At 3463 metres this is very impressive! For years there was a sleddog station at the Eigerglacier which became a tourist attraction for some time. Since I have sleddogs myself for over 20 years, the story about the dogs interests me a lot.

Now there is a new Eiger express funicular, which brings you up to the top much faster.

You will meet snowy winter all year around. Beautiful snow mountains as far as your eyes can see. . snow crunches under your feet. . overlooking the Aletsch Glacier, which will take your breath away!

Brienz is an amazing traditional villiage right at the deep blue lake of Brienz with its beautiful color! The village presents you with its wooden chalet houses surrounded by mountains and the lake. . Very extraordinary and original.

Strolling along the deep blue lake and walking through the village with the beautiful wooden chalet houses is a great experience!

It will show you the traditional original life of swiss people in this village. I'd love to show you all this.

In Brienz you will find the only woodcarving school in Switzerland,
You will also find some sculptures along the lake.

Visiting the woodcarving museum or the famous Ballenberg open air museum will be lots of fun! Closed in winter!

Full Day Interlaken-Spiez on foot following the old Via Jacobi

The Via Jacobi in the heart of Switzerland. Hike with me along the most beuatiful and historical road of Switzerland, part of a net of old roads, all leading to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
Born in the Middle Ages, the Camino de Santiago has become the most important pilgrimage route in the world over the centuries. Not many people perhaps know that this Camino was born in every European country, including Switzerland, and then reached Spain, where all the various branches of the it are still meeting.
The goal of this tour is to make people discover this beautiful route, enjoying it at a walking pace and also enjoying the breathtaking views that we can have by doing it.

I will personally take care of the ferry tickets that will take us from one side of the lake to the other, during our walk, as well as the ticket that will take us back to Interlaken. Food is not included in the tour, but I will make sure to stop in a sandwich place or supermarket, to get some food for the day trip.

We will start our journey in Interlaken, focusing on the main monuments and attractions, and then we will transfer to Thun, the city of the castles and the beautiful overlooking on the lake. All of this done using the train for a nice and gently approach to the visit of the cities and the area in wihch they are set. Interlaken and Thun, although they are close geographically, are truly different, and mainly because of their different history which led them to be what they are today.

Interlaken has a more modern and jovial breath, full as it is of rather recent architectures devoted to tourism and entertainment. Thun however, from the top of its centuries-old history and thanks to the significant historical monuments, shows an older character linked to the traditions of Swiss. What these two destinations have in common is the incredible beauty of the surroundings, characterized by hills, woods, mountains and the ever-present lake, which make both two gems just waiting to be discovered!

Rotstockhütte Full Day Private Tour

From Interlaken to Bern to see a touristic destination and the capital of the Canton Bern (and Switzerland), in the same day. From a small city to a proper city, the capital of Switzerland, done with one of Switzerland most iconic symbol: the train! The tour will start by Schlosspark, which is already located in the center of the small but very beautiful village of Interlaken, whose name already tells us a lot about its position, straddling two beautiful lakes and surrounded by truly breathtaking mountains, in primarily the Jungfrau.

After the visit we will have a quick lunch (which is not included in the tour), and then we will walk to Interlaken train station to reach Bern, the capital of Switzerland and one of the most beautiful cities in the country, to savor some of its beauties. By doing this, we will be able to see two different realities, such as the small town of Interlaken, located in a truly stupendous natural oasis, and a real city with the breath of it and its traditions, like Bern.

We will travel by train, cable car, and bus for our journey.

The hike will be approx. 3 hours nice panoramic walk and lots of time to make spectacular photos.
During the hike we will enjoy a picnic with typical local swiss products that I will organise and bring. You can bring water or other beverages and small snacks. No restaurant on our hike. Good idea if you bring a small back pack for your personal items, and good walking shoes, maybe walking sticks. If you don't have I can supply you with.

On our return we will discover the other side of the mountain chain with deep valley and beautiful mountain lake.

We should be back in Interlaken at approx, 17h30- 18h00.
