Lucerne is one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland embedded within an impressive mountainous panorama, close to Mount Rigi, Mount Pilatus, Titlis and Stanserhorn. The Lion's Monument with the dying lion, where 800 Swiss Guards died during the French Revolution is one of the most attractive and well known monuments in Switzerland.
