You may know that Kungsholmen is one of Stockholm's larger islands, and here stands the city's symbol: City Hall. Stockholm's subway system has more than 110 kilometers of art along its stations. We see three of these stations when we travel from the Town Hall via Centralen to Kungsträdgården. Kungsträdgården is Stockholmers' own living room. Here, we arrange many different events throughout the year. Gamla Stan is a living museum with attractions, restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. Alongside the charming cobbled streets are Stockholm Cathedral, the Nobel Prize Museum and the Royal Palace. Djurgården is a green oasis in the middle of Stockholm. The city's most famous museums and cultural attractions are here, including the Vasa Museum, the Viking Museum and Skansen. The Vasa is the world's best-preserved 17th-century ship and a unique art treasure. More than 98 percent of the ship is original, and it is decorated with hundreds of carved sculptures. Come on this multilayered tour that I crafted for you!
·Our walking tour starts at the Central Station. ·From Central Station, we'd walk together to the shores of Lake Mälaren where we will visit the iconic City Hall. The impressive tower is 106 meters high! ·Then at the City Hall subway, we'd visit the underground to look at art and take a few stations to Kungsträdgården. ·Next, Kungsträdgården, is one of Stockholm's meeting places. Many different activities and festivals are arranged here during the year. ·From here we walk via the opera house to Gamla stan. This district has many attractions such as the Royal Palace, the Cathedral and the Nobel Prize museum. ·We then take a 15 min boat trip on the Baltic Sea from Skeppsbron to Djurgården to visit the Vasa Museum with its outstanding 69-metre-long Vasa ship, which sank on its maiden voyage in Stockholm harbor, 1628. The ship was salvaged 333 years later, in 1961. ·At last, going out of the museum, we'll ride the tram from Djurgården back to Central Station. This itinerary could be customized by request.
