Are you thinking of visiting Valencia and want a tour to explore city's historical centre? Then you are in the right place! I will guide you through the emblematic places and monuments of this beautiful city, telling you the history and some nice anecdotes as well. Our tour takes place entirely on foot, allowing you to walk along the most important streets of the heart of the city, visiting the main squares and admiring beautiful Art Nouveau buildings. You'll discover the place where Romans founded Valencia and I'll share the history of a thousand-year-old institution that is still celebrated every week today! Throughout our tour I'll often talk about the long-awaited celebration of Valencians, Las Fallas, during which the city comes to life with fireworks displays and very tall monuments made of wood and papier-mâché every year. ·Our tour will begin by meeting at the Torres de Serranos. ·After that, we'll head to the Palace of the Generalitat. ·We will then continue walking along Calle Caballeros, until we reach Plaza de la Virgen, where I'll tell you about the history of the Tribunal de las Aguas. ·Later we will reach Plaza de la Reina where we will be able to admire the beautiful facade of the Cathedral. ·Then walking along Calle de la Paz, we will arrive at the magnificent building of the Ceramics Museum. ·We will continue to the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, where we will learn about one of the Valencians' favourite events which takes place during the Las Fallas festival. ·We will then reach the Central Market square and the Lonja de La Seda, an example of Mediterranean Gothic and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. ·The last stop of the tour will be Plaza Redonda, with its characteristic bars and historic shops.
