The Jews arrived in the Iberian Peninsula in the first century after the first diaspora. During the middle ages the Jewish community was considered very important for the development of the occidental cities, becoming a example of peaceful coexistence of different religions and customs. Jewish quarters were located all around medieval Spain (SEFARAD, in their language) and a long time ago the jewish community in Sevilla was one of the most relevant. I was born in Seville, . . . My last name is LUCENILLA (Lucena was a very important medieval jewish city located not far away from my hometown), . . . I have brown eyes, curly hair, . . . perhaps my ancestors were sefardic trade makers in this area. . . who knows. . .
-We will start the tour from a meeting point and after an introduction we will proceed to enter the historical jewish quarter. -Firstable we will visit the lively neighborhood of Santa Cruz: *We will take a stroll through its narrow and winding streets finding on the way the remains of the medieval citywall *I will show you the location of two of the Synagogues which were built there. -Later we will continue walking around the rest of the jewish section of Sevilla to discover street full of medieval flavour, legendary corners that connect with the Sefardic culture.
