Let me take you on an elegant Escapade through two of Seville's most enchanting palaces - Casa de Pilatos and Casa de Dueñas. We will begin this half-day tour at Casa de Pilatos, a stunning blend of Renaissance and Mudejar styles where you can admire boasting lush gardens and intricate tile-work. Explore its rich history, where each corner tells tales of Spanish nobility. Then, we venture into Casa de Dueñas, an intimate residence with a labyrinth of courtyards and opulent rooms, which was once home to the Duchess of Alba. Immerse yourself in the art, architecture, and centuries-old stories that resonate within these palatial wonders, offering a captivating glimpse into Seville's regal past.
First, we will visit the magnificent Casa de Pilatos, a palace that represents the introduction of Italian Renaissance style to Seville in the 16th century. Casa de Pilatos is the perfect blend of two styles with very diverse origins but creates a highly local mix: Renaissance and Mudéjar. Splendid mosaics, the finest art imported from Spanish possessions in Italy, are hidden gems in the intricate labyrinth of downtown Seville. Subsequently, we will visit another palace, this time an icon among Spanish palaces: Casa de Dueñas, the residence of the Duke of Alba. Over 1400 works of art await us inside, along with interesting anecdotes that this important noble family treasures, representing a benchmark in European nobility. . * This itinerary can be customized to suit your preferences.
