La Laguna and Local Bites

San Cristobal de La Laguna (or just La Laguna for short) was the first city to be established in the Canary Islands and is a treasure trove of beautifully well-preserved 16-19th century architecture. What most delights visitors are its stunning patios, which can be hard to seek out when visiting alone. Together, we will explore the nooks and crannies of this cultural capital of Tenerife, learning about its past, present, and future, paying particular attention to the strong links it shares with the American continent. We will end our visit with a well deserved bite to eat, with a selection of local specialties and a big glass of wine (or something else), resting our legs while we continue chatting about how you might wish to spend the rest of your time on this special island.
