Begin your Mallorca adventure with a short visit to Palma's Old Town. We'll take in the city's most important sites but beyond Palma, a world of spectacular beauty awaits us. We'll ascend into the Tramuntana Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage site where you will be awestruck at the spectacular examples of terraced, farmed landscapes. Orchards, vegetable gardens, ancient olive groves, a waterworks network, small farms, and large estates exemplify the interchange between man and the land.

We will discover some short but easily walkable areas, off the tourist circuit. And, for the photographer, there will be plenty of photo opportunities since the views are of primary importance. Gastronomy is also part of the local culture. A good meal is also a must but always with a view!

Mallorca's history, nature and cultural highlights

This is one of my favorite tours to introduce Mallorca to visitors. We will enjoy a ride with fantastic views of the olive groves, orange and lemon trees and the Mediterranean ocean, and explore a natural port which, due to its strategically location, always has played a major role in Mallorca's military defense and trade history.

Moving into the Tramuntana mountains, a World Heritage Site since 2011, we will find some enchanting and peaceful villages full of tales about princes, artists, and writers that have found their inspiration in this beautiful romantic setting. I will also take you to some of my "secret" spots and shops that I discovered as a young cyclist.

To finish our day together I will show you Palma where I was born and raised. We will explore this amazing little big "city" influenced by local traditions and the many foreigners that has "fought" over this privileged land for centuries.

We will walk down the picturesque alleys of the old Jewish quarters, admire the gothic Cathedral with the modernist influences of Gaudí - yes, the architect of La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona… and the Arabic Palace - do you know who lives there today? We might also spot a shy "señorita" in one of the many courtyards just before venturing into Es Born where modern shops and elegant boutiques line the streets.

Most importantly you will have the chance to savor our local gastronomy. You will never guess what is my favorite snack after doing my shopping at the food market.

The visit is best during the morning since the markets are open until 2:30pm from Mon-Sat. If you would like to visit after that hour or on Sundays, some changes will be made to the route which I will confirm with you.
