Segovia is one of the most visited cities from Madrid, even for locals. Only a little bit more than an hour from Madrid was founded Segovia by the Romans and we conserve an astonishing aqueduct with 167 arches and almost 2000 years old. Apart of this UNESCO monument Segovia is worth it because of its charming streets and squares, the 'Lady of the Cathedrals', and the amazing Alcázar, a castle that would inspire Walt Disney for 'Snow White'. Despite discovering monuments and plazas, in Segovia we have the tempting opportunity of trying the best cochinillo (sucking pig) in Spain, in one of its old and traditional restaurants. But also the giant white beans (judiones), Castilian soup, the baby lamb or the always sweet dessert Ponche Segoviano.
