Personalized tour of La Coruna focusing on it's very interesting history and fabulous gastronomy. I always try to experience and soak in the local culture, of which I firmly believe gastronomy is a very important part of.
We'll visit the "Torre de Hercules", oldest and only working Roman lighthouse in the world, dating from the first century. We'll learn about it's history, which goes hand in hand with La Coruna's history and walk around the site enjoying the fantastic views.

Later on we'll head back to the old town and walk along the narrow little streets visiting the main sites while making our way to some delicious food and fantastic wine (with the possibility of upgrading it to a "Galician" Michelin Star or similar experience!) which will be waiting for us to finish the day on a high note.

General John Moore is buried in romantic Gardens of San Carlos after the battle that he and his soldiers fought against the Napoleonic troops, where he was killed a little before they could sail towards England. He has become in this time a sort of local hero.

Almost in his teens, Pablo Picasso lived in this town. His father brought him and the family to Coruña for four years as teacher. Picasso had the occasion to get the initial inspiration and create some of his first masterpieces. His family house - a museum these days - is the witness of his time here.

This tour is originally designed as a shore excursion from La Coruna (about 75min driving each way). However, it can be adapted to start from Santiago or any other place in Galicia. It can also be part of a multi day or multi port tour.

We'll begin our adventure at the port heading to Finisterre (land's end), where the pilgrims doing the Path of St. James used to finish their journey and symbolically burn their clothes (not allowed anymore due to risk of brush fires) in preparation for a fresh start.

After visiting the lighthouse and soaking in the views, we'll enjoy a delicious wine paired lunch at one of the best, local cuisine restaurants not only in the area but in the whole region. We'll enjoy delicious food paired with great views right on the beach!

Last but not least, we'll head back to the La Coruna port so you can board your cruise ship and continue your journey with a bag full of memories to last a lifetime!

Full day Combarro and Pontevedra Tour

This tour is originally designed as a shore excursion from Ferrol (about an hour driving each way). However, it can be adapted to start from La Coruna, Santiago or any other place in Galicia. It can also be part of a multi day or multi port tour.

We will visit the lovely and picturesque San Andres de Teixido sanctuary (second most visited in Galicia after Santiago de Compostela) and the Herveira cliffs (highest on the ocean in continental Europe). We'll also stop for some more breathtaking views at one of the most famous viewing points in the area, which because of its privileged location 245 mt above sea level was used for military purposes, including anti air facilities and a camouflaged bunker, now abandoned.

On the way back we'll enjoy some delicious local food and wine either in the coastal towns of Cedeira or Mugardos, or back in Ferrol directly before heading back to the port. I will give you different choices and help you decide.
