Barcelona Day Trip: Dalí Theatre Museum & cheese tasting with wine

Does Salvador Dalí fascinate you and want to learn more about it? I have a Degree in Art History. I live 2 min walk from Picasso Museum and I love to spend my weekends in Empordà countryside where Dalí was born. Concidence? No! My art passion is in my daily life. Join me and discover The Dalí Theatre Museum located in his hometown: Figueres. He transformed the ruins of an old local theatre into a museum designed as a total artwork. Did you know Dali's was also a foodie and a great cooker? At age of 6, he already wanted to be a chef. Later he conveyed his gastronomy passion in his artworks: in «The persistence of Memory» (1931) he was inspired by the Camembert cheese to represent the melting clocks! Following Dali's interests we'll visit "The Artisans dels Avalls": they make their cheeses from raw cow's milk sourced from local producers in the Empordà. You will enjoy a cheese tasting with wine in deep in the Empordà countryside. Phil (cheesemaker) will guide you and will offer his warm hospitality.
