Barcelona and Montserrat Two Day Tour

The first day you'll dive into the history of a city that grew from a humble Roman colony to become one of the most important ports in the Mediterranean Sea during Middle Ages and reinvented itself to overcome staggering defeats, enlightening further generations with its unique modernist buildings thanks to Gaudi's genius and facing 21st century choosing the best contemporary architects and artists to renew the city for the Olympic Games held in 1992. The second day we'll visit the Monastery of Montserrat, core of catalan tradition. Arriving by cable car, you'll enjoy unforgettable sight views of the landscape and mountains that touched Gaudi's imagination ever since he was a young architecture student, to then visit a benedictine monastery that has waded through 12 centuries praising the Black Madonna of Montserrat. Then we'll go to discover Gaudi's hidden jewell in Colonia Guell, the industrial village owned by his mecenas that came to be his true construction laboratory.
