When I grew up as a child I remember Soweto as a neighbourhood with dusty streets or untarred roads, but today Soweto is one of the developed townships in the Johannesburg district, and the government is investing a lot in the development of tourism to make it a safe and a reliable tourist destination, and improving infrastructure in the process.

This tour connects me with my heritage and walking in the footsteps of some of our liberation movement activists such as Walter Sisulu, Arch-Bishop Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela makes me connect even more with our journey to freedom and more importantly, it's the history of those stalwarts' icons. On this full day safari, we're going to explore the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve, where over 7. 000 animals roam freely.
