After docking in Richards Bay, your day will start with a scenic drive through to St Lucia and exploring the Western Shores of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, on a land safari. Home to many typically African animals, giraffe, zebra, elephant and buffalo, there is always plenty to see and learn about in the Western Shores, including the prolific bird life. When your time has finished in the bush, you'll head to St Lucia town, a true hidden gem on South Africa's shores to join the afternoon boat cruise. Lake St Lucia is renowned for its vast hippo population, it is the largest population in South Africa with over 800 hippos. As you cruise the lake, look out for bathing hippos, basking crocs and other wildlife that is coming to drink from the water's edge.
