Overview of your Polokwane tour:

The first time that I went to the southern part of Kruger National Park with its abundance of specie diversity and excellent game viewing opportunities, I was a ranger in training. A favorite place of mine to take travelers to if time is limited. As one of the few last bastions for Africa's big game species, this place always had a peculiar enchantment for me. This 5 day safari includes two days of traveling by road to the Park and back to the airport and three days of exploring in one of the worlds oldest national parks (established in 1895). This part of the KNP is renowned for its sightings of most of the animal species that occur within the Park's borders. We will be staying inside the Park and cover the southern part during the three days. Game viewing with myself as your guide during the day and night drives with the Park rangers will be our main activities. Maybe we will be lucky enough to hear the lions roar, sitting around our campfire one night and discover the bush magic that still exists !

Your Polokwane tour itinerary

- Day one will see us traveling from the airport through industrial and mining areas around Johannesburg, crossing the grasslands of Mpumalanga which is the powerhouse of the country with its power stations and then descending down the escarpment to the Lowveld where Kruger is forming the eastern boundary of SA with Mozambique. - The following three days will be spent doing game viewing by vehicle, visiting the hides at various water holes or take a night drive with the Park rangers. Herds of elephant and buffalo frequent this area and the big cats are not an uncommon sighting either. We might even see some of the critically endangered rhinos. - There will be plenty opportunities for taking photos, making memories, learning about this unique environment and the creatures that inhabit it. As your guide with a solid background in conservation, I will be able give you more insight than what is usually available. - This tour can be customized by request. Please contact me.
