Visit the famous Postojna cave, one of the largest in the world, among Slovenia's most popular attractions and its stalagmite and stalactite formations are unequalled anywhere. People say that Dante found his inspiration for the Purgatory in his Divine Comedy right here in the Slovenian Karst. An electric train will take you into the caves and then enjoy in the underground karst world, where nature was the main architect through the millennia and has formed amazing formations. End your visit by stopping at the astonishing Predjama castle - the castle of the robber knight Erasmus.
After picking you up I will take you to one of Slovenia's top attractions - Postojna Caves & Predjama Castle. During the drive you'll be able to sit back and enjoy the ride while I introduce you to the area. With a roughly 35 minute comfortable ride, we'll start off the day with a visit to Postojna Cave. It has taken millions of years for the clear waters of the Pivka River to create these 21 kilometres of the underground labyrinth of passages, caverns, and great halls, decorated with drip-stones, translucent curtains, and pillars of fascinating shapes and colours. After an unforgettable underground train ride to the heart of the cave system, experienced guides will accompany you on a walk through the subtly lit fairy-tale like underground world. You will admire delicate spaghetti-like stalactites, massive pillars, and other geological wonders. Back in the daylight, the trip will continue towards the astonishing Predjama castle. For centuries dramatically hanging in over a 100-meter-high vertical cliff.
