I will take you to one of the most unique castle in the world (and my favourite one), built in front of the cave, where I will explain you an interesting legend that I enjoyed the most: Erasmus & siege of the castle that lasted for 1 year &1 day and ended with "death on a toilet". After the castle you will visit the most popular attraction in Slovenia - Postojna cave with its 21km the second longest cave system in Slovenia. Don't worry! You will visit only 4km. But the best part. Cave is home to one of the most mysterious animals in the world, the so called "human fish", which is actually an olm (proteus anguinus) . Laying of eggs and welcoming small baby olms, was a true highlight a couple of years ago where I and the whole country was following them. Also you will discover Ljubljana, my hometown!, that is also a capital of Slovenia, educational, political and economical centre of the country. But also so much more! Im just happy to take you around and show you a few hidden details of my town
- meet me at the pier in Koper (outside passanger terminal on the way to the old town - look for lift, you will meet me on the way to the lift) - 1 hour drive to Predjama castle - photo stop or optional visit of the castle (tickets are to be paid on the spot) takes around 40 minutes. *Note that there are many stairs inside of the castle. - 15 minute drive to Postojna cave - entrance to Postojna cave every full hour (tickets are to be paid on the spot). Visit of the cave lasts 1, 5 hours. **Note that cave temperature is 8°C/46°F so take a warm jacket with yourself. - 45 minute drive to Ljubljana - sightseeing walk tour of the old town, around for 1-1, 5 hrs - some free time for lunch or shopping - 1h15min drive back to Koper to the pier.
