In this one day hike you will witness one of the most spectacular view points in Romania (the Dragons cave balcony) which is a viewpoint on the top of the Bedeleului Rocks (part of Trascău massif in Apuseni) with stunning views towards the Aries river valley (the most important river valley in the Apuseni Mountains) and the northern part of the Apuseni mountain range. Beside the view points I must witness, as a passionate and experienced mountain local guide, that the trail is exceptional. I will bring you and point for you ancient hamlets, ancient forests, hidden waterfalls, spectacular viewpoints, one of the biggest inaccessible caves in Trascău mountains in which we will enter. So I welcome you to my beautiful, eco world!
This is a suggested itinerary: Trascău Mountains (Apuseni mountain range) Highlights: - The best view point in Apuseni (the balcony near the Dragons Cave) - The Dragons Cave (Peștera de la Groși) - The Dragons Portal - Plaiului Gorge Nature reserve - Bedeleului Gorge and the roman road - Rimetea village Difficulty: Medium (Red) - (7 - 7. 5 h hiking 700 meters elevation) Recommended gear: Hiking boots/rain coat/small backpack/hiking poles (optional)/water bootle/food for the trail/headtorch.
