Welcome to the Douro Valley, a land where authentic experiences are waiting for you.

It is also a land where the settlement of humans is very ancient as it shows the Côa Valley archeological park.
This tour takes you back in time to prehistoric lands where Paleolithic rock art has been discovered near the Douro and Côa Rivers. In the Côa Valley Archaeological Park, you will have the opportunity to do a visit to the Palaeolithic rock art site on the banks of the Côa River and the museum.

I've been working as a guide in Douro since 2018 and this activity allows me to do something very dear to me: to share a memorable experience in Douro Valley.

Douro Call - Food and Wine Experience from Porto

The Douro Call is a full immersion on what the Douro Valley and the North have the best - amazing landscapes, great wines and delicious food.

I'm passionate about this region and for me the Douro Valley is the best place to welcome guests and it's where I'm able to share my wine knowledge and experiences while you share yours.

Our day will start at a hidden family-run winery, where we will learn more about the wine production, visit the warehouse and end with an amazing and private tasting.

After lunch we will explore the other side of the valley - Pinhão. At a smaller family-run winery we will do a second wine tasting while enjoying my favorite viewpoint which is considered one of the best 6 views in the world by BBC Travel.

On our way to Porto we will stop at Amarante and visit a typical "tasca" owned by António. This tasca is one of my favorite places to taste some of the best Portuguese products while appreciating some "vinho verde", produced locally by the owner.

Lamego and São João de Tarouca are two small towns that are a piece of Portugal History and the foundation of our country.

Lamego is my hometown and is one of the most lovely small towns in Portugal
With many historical monuments and also a wonderful part of history, being one of the most important cities during the foundation of our country, this city was an important city even when the Moors were the main population in the Iberian Peninsula

São João de Tarouca is the birthplace of the Cistercian Order when they came to Portugal, and also, according to many historians, the first creators of what we now call Port Wine
What amazes me also the most is the history behind this Religious Order, our first King of Portugal and the Knights Templar

On this tour we are going to investigate more of what happened when Portugal was starting its foundation.

In this fantastic tour we will take you to visit a family Estate turned 100% to the olive oil production . You will  go in a Jipe  and cross the vine terraces, a landscape of grape vines; olive trees and breathtaking views over the river .
After visiting the fields it's time to get some energy with a lunch at the house from the owner of the olive oil estate , the meal has a lot of olive oil  .
Our next stop will be in a wine Village with a lot of history in Douro Valley ;
After that we will do a driving tour through the panoramic roads and cross iconic areas like Pinhão and Régua. To finish this unforgettable day we will visit a small Quinta and taste their wines, Port wine / dry wines!

São João da Pesqueira, Vila Nova de Foz Côa & Penedono Full Day Tour

Let us enjoy the least explored part of the Douro Valley with this Tour through time at our UNESCO Heritage Site.

São João da Pesqueira, Foz Côa and Penedono are locations that are less explored due to its location.

They are part of Douro Superior, but also with large history and also the location of the vineyard where one of the most amazing wines of Portugal is developed (Barca Velha).

Foz Coa also has a Museum with cave paintings dated back from 22000 to 10000 B. C. .

Penedono is a small village, a typical portuguese village that has a unique medieval castle dating back from the 10th century, almost 200 years before Portugal started to be conquered by our first King Afonso Henriques.
