Full Day Walking Tour of Historical Lisbon

On this 8 hour narrated walking tour you will explore some the main historical quarters of the city of Lisbon. Namely, Alfama, Baixa, Bairro Alto, Chiado, Graça, Mouraria and Principe Real. In the morning I will take you to explore the western hills of the city and visit important sites like the Church of Saint Roque, the Santa Justa Elevator, Rossio Square, and on weekdays you will have the chance to visit the last surviving section of Lisbon's city walls. After a lunch break at a traditional portuguese restaurant we will visit Mouraria and proceed to the eastern hills of the city. These areas are famous for their narrow maze-like streets and stairs. They are home to a proud tight-knit communities that have a deep passion for Fado music and the centuries old traditions that honor Saint Anthony. Along each of these areas, I will be providing you with information on the history of Lisbon and Portugal as a whole, plus a wide variety of topics.
