Overview of your Lisboa tour:

On this tour, we'll venture into the old quarter of the city, Alfama. Later, from the top of one of Lisbon's 7 hills, we'll grasp how a small roman town called Olisipo, has transformed into such a picturesque yet, vibrant city. When walking down from the castle we will see the cathedral dating back to the 12th century, a century marked by the implementation of the Portuguese monarchy, and the time when the first king of Portugal expelled the Moors from Lisbon. Once we get to Baixa, we'll be surrounded by 18th century buildings, which faced the consequences of the 1755 earthquake that brought destruction upon the city. Therefore, Lisbon, just like a phoenix, had to rise from the ashes. When in Chiado, we'llsee Lisbon's historic shops and cafes, mostly dating to the 19th & 20th centuries. In a full circle moment reachi Bairro Alto, a quarter known for its bustling nightlife yet a serene district during the day, we'll be able to see the castle from where we started this journey through the centuries.
