Ready to explore the best of historical and cultural region of Portugal? Come join me in this full day tour of of Alentejo - the south-central region of this beautiful country. From Lisbon we'll travel a route especially designed to allow you to indulge in some of the finest wines and olive oils from Alentejo. Experience the beautiful scenery of Portugal along the way. We'll first visit Évora, whose roots go back to Roman times. The city reached its golden age in the 15th century, when it became the residence of King Manuel I. Its unique heritage from the whitewashed houses influenced by the Moorish Architecture and wrought-iron balconies dating from the 16th to the 18th century. We'll Visit the Diana's Temple, symbol of the city, and explore Portugal's largest medieval cathedral. Take a look at the bone chapel, an exceptional chapel built in the late 16th century and after a delicious traditional lunch.
Meeting Point -- Hotel/Station/Street Drive to Évora -- trip to the south region of Portugal - Alentejo Stop 1 -- Arrive to Évora and visit the Roman Temple of Diana Stop 2 -- Visit the Sao Francisco Church and the Famous Bones Chapel Stop 3 -- Visit Portugal's largest cathedral - Catedral da Sé Stop 4 -- Stop for lunch in the center of Évora - complete meal in a typical restaurant Stop 5 -- Visit a Cork Factory, and learn about the entire process of harvesting cork Stop 6 -- Quick-stop to take a drink and to go to the bathroom. Final Stop -- Drive back to Lisbon and drop off the guests wherever they choose to.
