Explore the secrets of nature in the depths of the Pico underworld

On this tour we will wander inside some of the various lava caves underneath the surface of Pico island which holds geological structures that bear witness to the forces of nature. Let your light shine on the various, harmless bacterias that are decorating the black basalt. During this expedition, you will feel like a real geologist, discovering the wonderful world underneath the surface. When I enter a cave it feels like entering a different dimension. Sounds are different, your senses get sharpened and you become completely oblivious for the world above you. I'm sure the same will happen to you. It's an extraordinary experience and before you know it, you will be wanting to explore caves in every continent. It is a half day tour with your local guide where we are going to explore 3 to 4 caves, depending on the level of the customers. We are going to equip you with gloves, a helmet and a torch.
