From Évora to Montaraz Wine Tasting Private Tour

Depart from Evora to Monsaraz. It will take us about 45 min to reach this medieval village with white washed houses on a hill top overlooking the Alqueva lake and the Alentejo landscape. We'll have a walk in the village, visit the castle and after what you will have time to explore the little shops, cafés or just enjoy the view on your own for a while. We'll drive down towards the stone circle of Xerez (this one is actually a square!) and the Menhir, long standing stone of Outeiro. Both are exemples of the Stone Age civilisations. 5 minutes drive between each place. Free time for lunch After lunch we'll stop in one the many family owned pottery factories in São Pedro do Corval to admire the traditional hand made pottery. Our last stop before returning to Evora is to learn more about the wines of Alentejo. We will visit a winery and learn about the wine production methods. After that it's time to taste the wine and have a degustation of local products. The winery is 20 minutes away from Monsaraz.
