Treblinka, half day tour from Warsaw

115 km north-east from Warsaw, in remote surrounding, there is the place which was the last station for over 800 thousand Jews who were killed there by Nazis. That extermination camp was created mainly for final liquidation of ghetto in Warsaw. It operated over one year and finally was destroyed by Nazis to hide any trace of that crime. Now symbolic cemetery with 17 thousand stones marking the towns, townlets and shtetls from which Jews were brought here, reminds the victims who do not have even the graves. In the centre the monument with the inscription "Never again" calls for remembrance and it is always actual warning. The exhibition shows model of the camp, documents and few survivors testimony, registered, published and filmed.
