Auschwitz-Birkenau Complex is a vivid reminder to its visitors of the consequences of unadulterated hate. A place to go and learn that "…some evils are beyond forgiveness…" It is a place of memory, of pilgrimage and of education. From the spring of 1942 Auschwitz II (Birkenau) became the largest extermination site for the Jews transported here under the Nazi plan. More than 1, 100, 000 men, women, and children were murdered there. During the visit to Auschwitz/Birkenau, the museum guide will take you round the cells, barracks and gas chambers and explain the meaning behind the pictures and exhibits in the museum depicting the tragic history of Auschwitz/Birkenau. A shameful human heritage that must be seen by everyone to understand how things can go crazy and stand against when necessary. There is a lot to learn from the experience. I will certainly provide all the needed information while on this tour.
The meeting time is agreed via email. - Transfer by car from your hotel/or other meeting spot (agreed via email) to Museum - Auschwitz I- the way takes about 1 hour 30 minutes - Guided visit with an English speaking authorised guide in Auschwitz I (first part -duration 1, 45 h- up to 2 hours), walking tour where you will have a chance to learn about the history of the place - 10 minute drive by car to Auschwitz II Birkenau for a second part of a visit - again the visit with English speaking authorized guide of the Museum (second part - duration 1 hour), walking tour. Birkenau was the largest concentration camp and extermination site where 200 hectares of grounds include the ruins of the gas chambers and crematoria - Drive back to Krakow Please get in touch with me before the booking - in order to book the visit I need to put your name on the entry ticket, please have documents with you.
