Overview of your Gdansk tour:

Join me and discover the best highlights of Gdansk, Sopot, and Gdynia, all in one day! Cities that are well known in Poland as the Tri-city, and even though they have much in common they are very different and proudly independent. Gdansk-as a leader of the region is an over 1000 years old city with rich history and many interesting places for you to discover while Sopot is a popular SPA city, often called the summer capital of Poland with a stunning coastline and the longest wooden pier in Europe. And Gdynia is the youngest out of a Tri-city family, a modern city with easy access to beautiful beaches and the second largest Polish port. Join me and hear the stories, tales, and legends, discover places where medieval history collides with communism, where architectural beauty touches industrial, and where history is so long and rich that it is difficult to articulate it in full size and in a short time.

Your Gdansk tour itinerary

- We will start with a walk along Royal Route in Gdansk to discover the medieval and renaissance side of the historic city center and visit the majestic St. Mary's Basilica. - Next stop: The area of European Solidarity Center to see the surroundings of the Gdansk shipyard where the Solidarity movement was born after a wave of strikes in August 1980. - Third stop: Longest church in Poland - Gdansk Oliva Cathedral with the possibility of listening to a 20-minute concert of famous historic organs and brief visit. - Next point: is Sopot and a walk around its famous promenade and longest wooden pier in Europe. - Last but not least is Gdynia. We will see the best maintained and preserved WWII destroyer in Europe, moored in the center of the city - ORP Blyskawica. - We will also visit the historic marine station. From here, aboard Polish transatlantic ships, thousands of people migrated to countries around the world. *This tour can be customized upon request. Please contact me.

As Poland is part of European union but not in Euro currency zone yet. Polish cash is useless out of Poland so I never recommend to exchange larger amounts of money.
