In the 13th century, it was part of the Bruneian Empire ruled by Muslim Rajahs and Sultans who made the city as a fortified settlement and a trading quarter. In the 16th century, Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan, organized an expedition leading to the East Indies. In 1521, he discovered the Philippines. Manila was declared as a Spanish territory, only after 50 years, when Miguel López de Legazpi established a city council known as Intramuros.

Different places has its different beauty, I can say. I've seen the Tangkuban Perahu's crater in Indonesia, swam at Mt. Pinatubo's crater lake and saw Mt. Mayon' s hot lava flow at its foot and I can say all these places are masterpieces of Nature! But I'm not to tell you of this places of course, it's on another list of tours :).
