Join this thrilling full-day adventure from Cusco to Huchuy Qosqo and hike through picturesque Andean landscapes, marveling at the ancient Incan ruins, and immersing yourself into the local culture of villagers of towns we will spot. We will have a nice views of the Andean Mountain range and some snow capped peaks in the distance and the farmlands into the valley from above.
We leave Cusco at 8:00 AM to then drive through the majestic mountain range, heading eastward for about 1 hour and a half to the trailhead. At this point we will gear up to start our hiking adventure. The trail, varying from easy to moderate. As we hike, we will see the breathtaking Andean landscapes and admire the distant snow-capped peaks. This journey allows us to immerse ourselves in the natural splendor of the Andes. The hike takes 2. 5 to 3 hours, depending on your physical condition. Upon reaching the awe-inspiring archaeological site of Huchuy Qosqo, we have time for a well-deserved snack to then explore the remnants of Huchuy Qosqo (Small Cusco), going into its historical significance and marveling at the ancient Incan wonders. After the exploration, we walk the final 10-minute stretch of the trail to catch our car back to Cusco arriving around 4:00 PM.
