This tour connects 2 different islands: Colón & Bastimentos, but we will be focusing on the latter, specifically on Bastimento's Old Town, the second largest town in the Bocas del Toro archipelago. This charming place will give you a flavour of the Afro-Caribbean culture. On a personal note, since I actually have friends in Old Bank, I can guarantee to share actual local insights about this little town. You could also opt to have lunch in this area, and if so, I also have insider tips about the best places to go! But I want to take you beyond just the town, trekking across a short but impressive trail towards a remote, usually deserted beach, a perfect place to relax after a hike. And what if I told you that there is yet another trail that connects to another beach for your enjoyment, even deeper into the jungle? Although both trails are considered to be easy to do, closed shoes are recommended anyway, as the terrain varies depending on weather conditions.
·Once we've gathered right by the water side, we'll take a short boat ride to Old Bank in Bastimentos Island. ·On arrival, we'll go on a 30-45 minutes long hike through the Old Bank village and surrounding jungle. ·We'll then reach Wizard Beach, where depending on the time of year, you could watch surfers, do some fishing or even enjoy the waves yourself! ·After visiting Wizard Beach, we'll hike further into the jungle for around an hour, where we may encounter local wildlife such as the strawberry poison dart frog, until we reach Red Frog Beach. ·Once in Red Frog Beach, you could opt to have lunch or just a refreshing drink at the beach bar. ·After a relaxing afternoon, we’ll head back to the dock, where our captain will be waiting for us to take us on a boat ride back to Colón Island for the end of the tour.

We are going to use a private lancha (speedboat).

Our ideal meeting point would be Bambuda Bocas Town Hostel. I can meet at any dock within Bocas Town or organize a pickup for you for an extra fee if you are staying on Isla Colon outside the town, so if you want to request this contact me before booking!
