Trondheim Skyline – Half-Day Panorama Tour

- We begin our walk at Trondheim’s station, or your accommodation. - We’ll start by exploring the old harbor of Trondheim and its links to the tradition of seafaring and the discovery of the New World. - We then head through some of the old, winding lanes of the medieval city and discover how a tragic fire – and a Luxembourgish city planner – changed the face of the city forever. - In the heart of the city, we’ll learn about its founding and its royal connections, which endure to this day, and we’ll see Norway’s largest wooden building. - Next comes the highlight of our tour: a brief visit inside Nidarosdomen, Norway’s cathedral church – and, of course, the bloody and mysterious legend of Saint Olav, the patron saint of Norway. - Crossing the historic bridge into the city, we enter the beautiful district of Bakklandet, before heading steeply up to Trondheim’s fortress for a panoramic view of the entire city and surrounding landscape. - We then return to the city centre or a destination of your choice.
