City Center and Aker River with waterfalls

On this tour we will start to walk on Oslo's main street Karl Johan, and take a closer look at some of the signature buildings in Oslo's city center. We will see the Royal Palace, the University, the National Theatre, the Parliament and Oslo Cathedral, before we head towards the Aker river and the Fairytale bridge. We will have a lovely walking tour along the river on a wide path free of cars, so we can listen to the birds songs and the slow flowing river. We will see beautiful parks and bridges. Old factory buildings from mid-1800s are well preserved and transformed into new industry as restaurants, art galleries, schools, offices and a food hall. I will tell you the importance of this river for the people in Oslo, all the way back to the Medieval. We will stop for a coffee break by the food hall before we continue to see the cascading waterfalls. Back to the city center, we jump on a tram.
