Several of the most scenic waterfalls can be seen in the south-western parts of Norway. For Norwegians, waterfalls represent more than a nice photo opportunity. A majority of the waterfalls in the country are, sometimes controversially, used for energy purposes, and powers a lot of local industry. During this trip we will drive through the countryside, get to Dale, famous for its woolen industry and then Voss, the biggest ski resort of Western Norway with its great lake. Then we will drive along the Hardanger fjord scenic road and contemplate three incredible waterfalls. We will also stop at the quaint town of Øystese by the fjord for a lunch break.
