You will see the Kiwi in its natural environment and learn what it takes to hatch those large eggs. You may have heard the term "KIWI" when relating to a NZ person...this is how our name was created. Not only do we have Kiwis, we have the only living Maori Village in NZ. You will learn how they lived, see hot springs, boiling mud pools and the famous Photou Geyser, spilling out her steam. Not to forget the Cultural performance with the famous war dance called the "HAKA". We visit the Redwood Forest with its filtering light and dense canopy, creating a lush environment for Ferns and Flora. During our drive to Rotorua we will pass by lush Forestry, Kiwi Fruit Orchards, Farmland, and many lakes around Rotorua. This tour is a day of panoramic scenery, education and true NZ living connecting you to nature.
