Explore Countryside Heritage by Private car: Zaanse Schans, Edam, and Volendam Day Tour

We will start our tour at Zaanse Schans, an open-air museum featuring historic Dutch houses and windmills. Our first stop will be a visit to a cheese farm, where you’ll discover the art of Gouda cheese making and sample various types of this delicious Dutch delicacy. I will also share insights into the history and significance of windmills in 17th-century Holland, with an optional visit to one of them. At the wooden shoe workshop, we can watch local craftsmen create traditional wooden clogs. Our journey continues to the town of Edam, renowned for its world-famous cheese. In Edam, we will visit a local cheese market square where Edam cheese was traded in the past. You’ll also have time to explore the charming streets, historic buildings, and picturesque canals of this delightful town. From there, we will head to the picturesque fishing village of Volendam. Here, we’ll explore the oldest part of the village and its harbour. You’ll also have the opportunity to try local delicacies such as Dutch herring.
