I'll take you to visit Tiel and to walk its old center which still holds monumental buildings from former glory days and Tiel is very famous for its fruits production and if you will be here in May, you will find lovely Betuwe orchards in bloom.

From Nijmegen to Arnhem, from the oldest to the most enjoyable city!

Tour from Nijmegen, the oldest city of the Netherlands to Arnhem, the most enjoyable city in the province. A sentence already published in the 16th century!

This tour leads us through a part of the Netherlands with an eventful history. One of the remains of that period is its many castles.
We will visit the medieval castle Doorwerth, a great example of medieval castle architecture which still reflects what life was like on a country estates in the past. A visit to the Knight's hall, the prison, and the kitchen will bring us back to the past to get a glimpse of life at that time, and what better place can be to enjoy lunch than in a castle local restaurant.

Afterward, we will continue our tour to Arnhem for a city walk, including a visit to the "airborne at the bridge museum" which shows the history of World War II in Arnhem. And of course, we will take a panoramic view over the city from the 5th floor of the Rozet building: that is a "must-do".

We will also stroll past the many churches, see a windmill, ponder in secluded courtyards and marvel at architecture from all ages.

The Kröller-Müller Museum is named after Helene Kröller-Müller (1869-1939)who collected almost 11, 500 art objects with help of her advisor, H. P. Bremmer. She began collecting art in 1905 (George Seurat, Pablo Picasso, Fernand Léger and Piet Mondriaan). Helene Kröller-Müller's collection grew rapidly. After a few years she was the owner of the largest private Van Gogh collection in the world. The museum's sculpture garden has increased in size over the years and is now one of the largest in Europe (Rodin, Moore, Hepworth, Dubuffet, Christo and Serra and a pavilion by architect Gerrit Rietveld).
