This tour first takes you to Leiden by train, where Rembrandt van Rijn was born in 1606. During a walk through the city, all the historic Rembrandt locations will be connected to each other. The walk will take you past Rembrandt's birthplace, the studio of teacher Jacob van Swanenburg and the Latin School where Rembrandt went to school from the age of seven. Through background stories and countless anecdotes you will learn everything about Rembrandt's childhood in Leiden. At the end of 1631 Rembrandt left his native Leiden and settled in Amsterdam. Although he was already a valued artist at the time, he saw that there were even more opportunities for him in Amsterdam. In Amsterdam the highs and lows of Rembrandt's life are explained in detail during a walk. You visit places where Rembrandt lived, worked or left works, such as the Rembrandt House, De Waag and the Night Watch. At the end of this tour you visit the Rijksmuseum with the Night watch.
